Brave Politicians abound

As you all know, it is election season. But what makes this season so great is that it includes my running for a third term to the Mission Viejo City Council. This will be a different election for us all as Mission Viejo residents will now be represented by electing council members by District, versus the at-large voting we have had in the past.
With District voting we see incumbents running, and we have a new slew of the bravest candidates I have seen coming forward wishing to run our city. Many candidates are showing real strength in the positions they are taking. Remember, this is a direction they are wanting to take our city, and it matches too closely where progressives are taking our county.
Most elected officials in our State and Country began on a city council or school or water board. And the one thing I have learned, is that when a candidate tells you what they will do in office, you must believe that is what they are wanting to accomplish.
It is what they are willing to defend that is astonishing.
Here is what we are dealing with now in our Ca. Legislature that Dems will bravely defend.
There is a bill allowing minor children from 15 years old to receive all vaccines without their parents knowledge. SB866
Then another bill, SB1419 would seal a minor’s medical records so parents will not know about any medical treatment their child received.
They have passed AB1797, headed for the Governor’s desk that establishes a state-wide vaccine registry.
Here are but a few more examples of bravery that the new Dems will defend and will further prove my point.
The new candidates believe that taking $10,000 out of your pocket and giving it to pay off loans you never co-signed, is perfectly fine.
These candidates speak of Equity and Fairness, but apparently only when it suits their needs.
These brave candidates defend 4,900,000 illegal immigrants’ entry across our southern border in the last 18 months. How many of their open border illegals will be attending your children’s schools?
They may also choose to close their eyes to the trafficking of children and sex workers that flourish with their open border policy.
It takes a brave candidate to close their eyes to over 110,000 Fentanyl deaths in our country due to their open border policies.
It takes a brave incumbent candidate defending the opening of weed dispensaries in our city while they support our city’s annual March against Drugs.
We have an incumbent that voted against raising golf and cart fees at Oso Creek, but then voted in favor of how the city would be spending the added revenue from the fee increase.
Look at those who are running in local races for school boards and city councils. You can ask them about the organizations and individuals that are contributing to their campaigns. Non-partisan races are now being financially supported by the Democrat Party and Planned Parenthood. You will also find large donations from the Teacher’s Unions as well.
Imagine what these organizations expect in return?
Will these candidates work on preventing parents from having a say in their child’s education? As we can see above they will keep parents out of healthcare for children. More and more we see evidence that schools are keeping parents away from the classroom.
You know we have teachers and administrators that proudly defend pornography in our school libraries while removing books such as the Story of Anne Frank, Huck Finn, To Kill a Mockingbird, and even the Bible.
The same teachers and administrators that defend the teaching of critical race theory to young children are donating and will be walking precincts and phone banking for these candidates.
It takes a brave candidate that will defend the indoctrination of children as young as 5- and 6-year-olds pushing transgender decisions and teaching misgendering to your children. They also defend preventing parents from even knowing this is being done.
It takes a brave candidate defending gender surgeries for children as young as 15.
Brave candidates are currently running in our Districts that never questioned locking down our schools and masking the least vulnerable among us against Covid.
It takes a brave candidate that promotes defunding our police, supporting the theft of up to $950.00 from small businesses, while allowing criminals out of jail within hours of being booked.
These same brave candidates promote wokeness at every opportunity. They are excited to remove the names of our founding fathers, and military heroes from our schools, military installations, and street signs.
We have brave candidates that celebrate high gasoline prices to push their green agenda plans. You should just buy an electric vehicle they will tell you. The cost to replace a battery in a GM Volt with 70,000 miles, has been reported to be around $65,000. And where did they bury that old battery?
We have incumbents that pander to any audience just for a vote. A candidate that will sell out Israel, or publicly state that Senators and Congressional members are bought and paid for by Jews as an example, simply for a vote. Is this someone you can trust?
My favorite of the progressive brave candidates, are those that will defend all white people are racists. These candidates promote teaching this in our schools. How does this bring our country together? How does this bring the playground together?
You can choose to support these brave candidates, but I think you are more interested in someone that will stand against these foolish policies.
I continue to fund public safety and promote Law and Order. I do not support criminals over victims. I will continue working to stop destructive fentanyl coming into our city through poorly regulated dispensaries.
The overall increase in drug deaths is 6%, while there has been a 14% increase in deaths of those that are of high school age.
I will continue working on keeping your children safe as I have added more School Resource Officers to our Mission Viejo schools. I continue providing trainers to teach emergency preparedness and security awareness in our schools and places of worship through Secure OC Schools, the non-profit I founded in 2018.
I will continue to work on helping the homeless veterans find housing as I work as a board member of the Orange County Housing Finance Trust. I will also continue to find the opportunity to build new mental health facilities in south county.
I have worked on increasing our city’s quality of life finding ways of bringing businesses back after Covid. I work with the foundation of our city Vision Plan to create new entertainment and restaurant opportunities along Oso Creek and the Creek Trail in the near future.
In my mind, the choice is clear. Shall we continue to make Mission Viejo the envy of Orange County? In order to do that, we must not allow the pronouned woke to sit on the Dias of our water boards, school boards and city councils.
California 5th Largest Economy remains 3rd World Energy Provider
Gov. Gavin Newsom — has asked its residents to avoid their air conditioners during a heat wave to prevent rolling blackouts, again.
A Flex Alert is when the government asks residents not to use energy between 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. to prevent rolling blackouts.
This is because California has not scared its landscape with enough wind turbines and solar farms to provide the necessary power to the residents now sweltering inside their own homes.
Not only should residents avoid the AC, but you should also avoid appliances such as the dishwasher or washing machine.
Mr. Newsome also has his legislature working on banning natural gas so you will have to use an electric stove for cooking. But of course, due to a Flex Alert, you may not use your new electric stove between 4Pm and 9Pm. Just in time not to cook dinner even on your not a gas grill.
The Democrats love the green energy plans and most certainly many running for local council races will demand more of their cities to comply. They will not say so up front. They will not be transparent as they claim to be when it comes to those concerns.
You can count on me to fight for lower cost electricity as I have a proven track record in this arena battling the CPUC rate increases.
California could have cheap, clean energy with nuclear power plants refurbished and a few new ones to come online. Instead, the Dems continue to push electric cars that will put more pressure on the power grid as we rely on windmills and solar panels.

Ed this is the best campaign letter I’ve seen. I wish you would share it with Bob running for District one. He needs to modify it and send it out. Are you doing any fundraising Ed? Judy Levine
